The new BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont is a watch fit for aristocratic calibre and cigar connoisseurs

Inside the BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont, Bell & Ross's 150-piece limited edition built for cigar connoisseurs and the quiet authority of characters like the Duke of Helstad in The Gentlemen Season 2. A brown sunray dial, 18ct rose gold case, and a matching S.T. Dupont humidor set define this rare collaboration.

What does it mean to be understood without a word spoken? Some men wear a watch to tell time. Others wear one for exactly that kind of silent understanding. The BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont belongs to the second kind, a piece built less for the wrist than for the room it enters. In Bell & Ross' fourth Edición Limitada dedicated to the cigar world, and its collaboration with the French maison S.T. Dupont, the House has made something that speaks the same quiet language as the Duke of Helstad from The Gentlemen Netflix himself.

The Watch

The BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont is Bell & Ross' fourth Edición Limitada dedicated to the world of cigars, and its most refined yet. Limited to 150 numbered pieces, this 42mm automatic chronograph pairs satin-finished and polished steel with 18ct rose gold, built around the Calibre BR-CAL.326 movement and a 60-hour power reserve. The dial is a sunray brown, deep and shifting under light, framed by rose gold-coloured applique numerals and indices, with the S.T. Dupont signature set quietly at six o'clock. A two-tone rose gold and steel bracelet or a gradient brown alligator-style leather strap completes the case, finished with a sapphire case-back and 100 metres of water resistance.

It is a watch built on restraint rather than display: every material chosen for depth, every finish chosen to reward a closer look rather than a passing one. This is precisely what makes it suited to a man like the Duke of Helstad.

Why This Watch Suits the Duke

In The Gentlemen Season 2, the Duke of Helstad commands every room he enters without raising his voice. His authority is inherited, not performed, and it shows in how little he needs to prove it. The BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont carries the same quality. Its rose gold bezel and steel case do not compete for attention; they simply hold it, the way tailoring holds a room. The brown sunray dial reads like the colour of a study lit by firelight, the hour the Duke keeps his most important counsel and closes his most consequential deals.

This is a watch that rewards patience the same way the Duke's world does. The sixty-hour power reserve runs quietly beneath a case-back most will never see. The alligator-style strap will soften and deepen in colour over years of wear, gaining character the way a family name gains weight over generations. Nothing about the piece is rushed, and nothing about it needs to be.

The Cigar Connection

Bell & Ross built this edition in partnership with S.T. Dupont, the French maison behind the world's most coveted lighters since 1924, and the collaboration extends well beyond the dial. Each of the 150 pieces arrives in a Macassar ebony case lined with Spanish cedar, convertible into a humidor for 50 cigars, alongside a matching Ligne 2 lighter in steel and gold and a cigar cutter finished to match. It is a complete ritual object, built for a man who understands that the finest things, whether a cigar, a deal, or a decision, are allowed to arrive rather than forced.

For a figure like the Duke of Helstad, whose authority lies in exactly this kind of unhurried command, the BR-05 Chrono S.T. Dupont is less an accessory than a signature. It is the watch that keeps his hour.
