Toyota Tour launches Malaysia's first ever nationwide indoor golf championship

Starting from 1 April to 31 August, golf enthusiasts can compete in the 9-hole Toyota Tour eGolf Championship at MST Golf Arena across Klang Valley, Penang and Johor.

Get ready to swing into action as the Toyota Tour eGolf Championship 2024 gears up for an electrifying season of indoor golf challenges at MST Golf Arena from April to August. Open to public, the Toyota Tour eGolf Championship is Malaysia’s first national e-golf tournament that will see non-professional golfers contend in the 5-month indoor golf challenge with chances to win prizes and lucky draw worth RM200,000 including golf equipment, chances to play in the Toyota Tour with Tour professionals and luxurious golf and stay packages.

The eGolf Champion will be featured in the Toyota Tour tournament at The Mines Resort & Golf Club in November to play against some of the nation’s best pro golfers and a chance to walk away with glory and a RM3,000 cash prize.

Hosted at Malaysia’s largest indoor golf facility, the Championship promises to deliver an unparalleled experience for golf enthusiasts across four MST Golf Arena locations at The Gardens Mall in Kuala Lumpur, Tropicana Gardens Mall in Selangor, Gurney Paragon Mall in Penang and Toppen Shopping Centre in Johor.

With its expansive indoor golf facility equipped with modern golf simulation bays, coupled with retail and a golf academy, MST Golf Arena is primed to host Malaysia’s first eGolf tournament on a national scale. This championship marks a significant milestone in the Group’s commitment to advancing the sport and creating memorable experiences for local golfers of all levels, and spur interest among a wider audience of the Toyota Tour, added Ng.

Monthly Gross winner from each participating venue will be showcased on the Champions Wall at MST Golf Arena @ The Gardens Mall.

Participants can test their mettle as many times as they wish in a month, with only the best score counting towards their official monthly medal score. The monthly emerging Gross Winners across all four locations will culminate at a Grand Final over 18 holes at MST Golf Arena, The Gardens Mall in October.

Monthly Medal: Top 3 Gross and Net winners at each venue will be crowned, with novelty prizes up for grabs including Precision Drive and the elusive Hole-In-One.

Grand Final: Monthly Gross Champions from each venue will compete for the coveted Championship Prize – a cash voucher and an invitation to play alongside golf professionals in the penultimate Toyota Tour 2024. Runners-up will receive MST Golf cash vouchers and invitations to the Toyota Tour 2024 Pro-Am, novelty prizes such as the TaylorMade Qi10 Driver and Rapsodo launch monitor, as well as lucky draw prizes including luxury golf packages in Maldives, Indonesia and more.

At the launch event, Galven Green and Geraldine Wong autographed their photo frames showcased on the Toyota Tour Wall of Champions at MST Golf Arena, The Gardens Mall. Galven and Geraldine emerged as Champions of the 2024 Tun Ahmad Sarji Trophy in the men’s and ladies’ category respectively.
