In a resounding affirmation of British heritage and sovereign distinction, Aston Martin, the iconic marque synonymous with elegance and performance, has been formally bestowed with a Royal Warrant by Appointment to His Majesty King Charles III—a milestone of regal significance in the brand’s 112-year legacy.

This historic moment marks the first time Aston Martin has received a Royal Warrant directly from the reigning British monarch, a gesture that elevates its already distinguished relationship with the Crown to newfound nobility. The new Royal Arms of King Charles III, meticulously designed and recently released by the College of Arms—an institution as steeped in tradition as Aston Martin itself—will now adorn the marque’s identity, symbolising a timeless bond between sovereign grace and British automotive craftsmanship.

“Our appointment by His Majesty represents a truly proud and historic moment for Aston Martin, reinforcing the longstanding and esteemed relationship we hold with the Royal Family,” said Adrian Hallmark, CEO of Aston Martin.

More than just a title, the Royal Warrant stands as a testament to Aston Martin’s commitment to excellence—a seamless blend of handcrafted design, noble engineering, and quintessentially British values long championed by His Majesty The King.

The relationship between Aston Martin and the Royal Family is not merely ceremonial—it is deeply personal. The marque’s royal journey began in 1954 when Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, took delivery of a three-litre Lagonda. It continued with the Duke of Kent acquiring a DB2/4 following Aston Martin’s legendary triumph at the 1955 Monte Carlo Rally. Yet perhaps most emblematic is His Majesty’s cherished DB6 Volante, a symbol of continuity, sophistication, and a deeply-rooted personal connection that spans decades.

Indeed, King Charles III has been a member of the Aston Martin Owners Club since 1973, and the marque previously held a Royal Warrant from 1982 as a Motor Car Manufacturer and Repairer to His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. The new warrant, granted in 2024, is more than an upgrade in heraldry—it is a crowning recognition of Aston Martin’s enduring relevance to Britain’s noble narrative.

From the DB6 Volante’s unforgettable appearance at the wedding of the current Prince and Princess of Wales in 2011, to the King and Queen’s stately arrival at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Aston Martin has never been far from moments of national grandeur. Even in recent years, the brand has been at the heart of royal affairs—His Majesty inaugurated the DBX manufacturing facility in St Athan, and in 2024, the royal estate at Sandringham hosted an exquisite gathering of over 75 Aston Martin models in celebration.

Today, with the Royal Arms officially gracing its identity, Aston Martin not only carries the spirit of British motoring, but also the crown’s enduring endorsement of grace, precision, and sovereign style. A perfect alignment of aristocracy and artistry—by appointment to His Majesty The King.
