What does it mean to live well? This was the question at the heart of "Maison De Luxe", a night hosted in partnership with Tropicana Corporation Berhad that brought together a community drawn to the finer details of a life well curated.

Held at The Experiential Hall on Level 12 of Tropicana Garden Office Tower in Kota Damansara, the evening unfolded across three hours as an intimate showcase of craft, from bespoke tailoring to fine jewellery, set against a backdrop designed to feel more like a private residence.

GC friends.

GC friends, including YAB Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Hajah Raghad Waleed Alkurdi Taib, Y.A.M. Tengku Syarif Temenggong Perlis, Dato' Seri Diraja Syed Amir Abidin Jamalullail Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Raja Syed Putra Jamalullail & Y.M. Che Puan Temenggong Perlis, Datin Seri Diraja Farinawati Datuk Mohd, and Y.M. Tengku Dato' Yusof from Selangor Royal Family member, friends from Australia and Singapore, arrived in accordance with the evening's dress code of elegance, and were met with light refreshments served throughout, allowing the focus to remain on conversation and the showcases themselves rather than a heavier dining format.

The night opened with a bespoke fashion showcase by Bon Zainal and Kashfi Zulkufli, a pairing that brought together GC's own co-founder and a name synonymous with Malaysian couture. The presentation leaned into tailoring as a study of restraint, with each piece reflecting the kind of quiet confidence GC has long championed as the truer marker of style over louder, logo-driven statements.

Ceres Jewels.

Fine jewellery took its turn next, courtesy of Ceres Jewels, whose showcase offered guests a closer look at craftsmanship in its most detailed form. Rather than a standalone segment, the pieces were woven directly into the fashion showcase itself, adorned on Bon Zainal and his models as they walked, a deliberate pairing that made the case for accessories as the finishing touch to a complete gentleman's look. Pieces were presented not as accessories but as heirlooms in waiting, each with its own quiet story to tell.

The evening's musical register shifted twice, each time deliberately. Zamil Idris and friends opened with a live interlude built around a set of classic, timeless numbers, delivered with the kind of unhurried polish that suited the room's understated glamour, less a performance than a soundtrack woven seamlessly into the evening's rhythm.

Then came Malaysian legendary singer Ning Baizura. Closing the formal programme, her set was less an interlude and more a centrepiece, a masterclass in vocal control that had friends of GC visibly caught off guard by the sheer range and power on display. It was the kind of performance that stopped conversation mid-sentence, guests turning fully toward the stage as her voice carried effortlessly across the hall.

Beyond the showcases, the evening also served as a preview of Tropicana Corporation Berhad's latest chapter, with the developer presenting three new addresses to guests: Clarissa Serviced Suites at Tropicana Cenang, Langkawi, Tropicana Paradise at Genting Highlands, and Lido Waterfront Boulevard in Johor Bahru. The presentation was led by Ms Ixora Ang, Managing Director of Marketing and Sales, alongside Mr Tino Wan, Executive Director of International Marketing, and Ms Wendy Cheow, Senior General Manager of Marketing and Sales.

Each development carried its own claim to elegant living. Tropicana Cenang is the only freehold serviced suite development with direct access to Pantai Cenang, Langkawi’s most vibrant and sought-after beachfront destination. As its final phase, Clarissa Serviced Suites offers breathtaking sea views and an elevated beachfront lifestyle, thoughtfully designed for those who appreciate effortless island living. With fully furnished packages available across a range of thoughtfully designed layouts, owners can enjoy a ready-to-move-in holiday home — perfect for personal getaways or investment assets. Building on the success of its earlier phases, Assana and Merissa Serviced Suites, both achieved 100% take-up, reflecting strong market demand and confidence in the development.

Another notable development, Tropicana Paradise, offers a rare opportunity to own freehold hilltop villa lots In Genting Highlands — a distinctive landed alternative to conventional highland condominiums and serviced apartments. With the freedom to design and build your own dream home, where you can create your truly personalised highland retreat tailored to your lifestyle and vision. Set within a 308-acre master plan surrounded by montane forest, natural waterfalls, rivers and creeks, Tropicana Paradise offers a cool year-round climate of around 18°C, creating a serene sanctuary just 45 minutes from Kuala Lumpur. With land parcels of up to 12,500 sq ft, it is an exceptional multi-generational legacy that you can enjoy, built upon and passed down for generations.

Rounding out the presentation, Skypark Kepler in Lido, Johor Bahru is strategically positioned as a premier investment opportunity driven by major regional growth drivers. Located within Johor’s future waterfront city centre at Lido Waterfront Boulevard, it offers a freehold waterfront address designed to support your long-term capital appreciation. The development is directly benefits from strong cross-border connectivity to Singapore and the RTS Link, allowing it to capture spillover demand and workforce mobility. Furthermore, its inclusion in the JS-SEZ (Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone) growth story positions the development to leverage government initiatives, foreign investment inflows, and long-term economic expansion. Managed by the international hospitality brand Banyan Group, Skypark Kepler operates as a premium branded residence, appealing directly to both lifestyle buyers and property investors.

Together, all three developments by Tropicana Corporation Berhad reflected a common thread: property not simply as investment, but as an extension of a considered lifestyle, whether by the sea, in the highlands, or along a growing waterfront skyline.

For GC, Maison De Luxe represents something beyond a single evening. It is a continuation of the brand's "well dressed, well lived" pillars in physical form, an extension of a philosophy of a true gentleman. Partnering with Tropicana Corporation Berhad for this edition also reflects GC's broader ambition to build spaces where Malaysia's design, fashion and jewellery communities can meet on shared ground.

As the lights dimmed on the final performance, what lingered was less the spectacle and more the sense of proximity, a room small enough that every guest felt like a friend of the house rather than an attendee at an event.
