Breakfast at OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi by Hoshino Resorts is a free-flow affair with a choice between Western and Japanese spreads. We went all in on the Japanese choice, and it did not disappoint. Fresh, well-composed, and exactly the kind of fuel needed before a day of wandering the bay area.
What genuinely impressed us, though, was Kitanaka Brick & White, the dining facility integrated right into the building. The culinary variety here borders on absurd in the best way. Starbucks for your coffee fix, Korean fare, yakiniku, and a host of other options all within a short walk of your room. The staff at OMO5 Yokohama Bashamichi by Hoshino Resorts were consistently friendly and polite throughout our stay At the Sky-High Night Party, they went out of their way to capture a beautiful panoramic photo of us against the night skyline, the kind of small gesture that turns a casual evening into a memory worth keeping. On departure, we were sent off with a farewell souvenir, a lovely, unexpected touch that summed up the spirit of the whole stay.
Another standout is the Go-KINJO service, designed to help guests immerse themselves in the local area. Located within the hotel, the Go-KINJO Map is a local guide map and regularly updated by the OMO Rangers, in-house local guides who share insider tips and hidden gems you won't find in any standard guidebook. Our only practical note: there's no telephone inside our room, so reaching the front desk means stepping out to use a phone located near the room corridor.
