Achieving a lasting and captivating fragrance isn't just about picking the right perfume. It’s also about applying it correctly.

Here are five expert tips from GC to ensure your scent stays with you throughout the day and leaves a memorable impression.

1. Target Pulse Points

Apply perfume to pulse points where the skin is warmest, helping the fragrance to disperse evenly:

  • Behind the Ears: This high-heat area is perfect for maximum scent diffusion.

  • Wrists: Constant motion here helps spread the fragrance.

  • Back of the Neck: Ideal for creating a lingering scent trail.

  • Chest: Close to the heart for enhanced warmth and scent projection.

2. Prep with Lotion

Moisturize your skin before applying perfume. A fragrance-free lotion can create a smooth base, helping the scent adhere better and last longer.

3. Apply Post-Shower

The best time to apply perfume is right after a shower when your skin is clean and pores are open, which allows the fragrance to absorb more effectively.

4. Application Techniques

  • Moderation is Key: Aim for up to 7 sprays and focus on 1-2 pulse points.

  • Correct Distance: Spray from 6-7 inches away to avoid concentrated spots that can stain clothes.

  • No Rubbing: Avoid rubbing wrists together; it breaks down the fragrance molecules and diminishes the scent.

5. Proper Storage

Store your perfume in a cool, dark place to preserve its integrity. Heat and light can degrade the fragrance over time. Always ensure the cap is tightly closed to prevent evaporation.

Implement these tips to enhance your fragrance’s longevity and impact, making sure you always leave a lasting impression.
