Letter from Ms. Cristie,

Dear GC,

I noticed that you have abruptly stopped corresponding with letters pertaining to marriage and relationships which I think is most unfortunate.

But I have to confess that quite a number of women do not agree with this publicity on relationship conflicts. Personally, I do not see anything wrong with the letters and responses you have provided. The response you have provided is constructive and has no elements that would be deemed as a gender hate / gender bias.

I don't suppose there are any confidentiality issues because the complainants are fine with you posting their problems on your site. I just fail to see what the fuss is.

I certainly do not agree with the majority on this female forum which I am a member of, to oppose this idea but in a democratic world, the majority always wins.

Perhaps, this is a very sensitive topic particularly among Malaysian women? As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end.

Anyway, don't be down. Chins Up and good luck in your future endeavors and Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri.

Thank you.

Cristie

Answer by The Gentleman:

Hi Cristie,

Thank you for your heartfelt message and for standing in solidarity with us—it truly means a lot. It’s always encouraging to hear that those past conversations on relationships and marriage resonated with someone, especially when they were written with so much care and intention.

While we've stepped away from topics like marriage and divorce, we still welcome letters about relationships—especially when they reflect our mission to elevate men and honor women. That purpose hasn’t changed, and hearing your support reminds us why it matters.

We’re genuinely grateful for your kind words and thoughtful perspective. Readers like you keep us grounded and inspired. And thank you, too, for the warm holiday wishes—Happy holiday to you as well.

May it be a time of peace, reflection, and joy.

With appreciation,
The Gentleman
